Ben Halsall

Ben Halsall - Swim Instructor

Hello, I am Ben Halsall and a keen water polo player, masters swimmer and surfer. Since moving from England in 2012, I have lived in Québec, Saskatchewan and recently moved to Kelowna in June 2021. My passion for the water is one I share with my two children. My daughter is an artistic swimmer with the Kelowna Dolphins, and my son plays water polo with Kelowna Water Polo Swim Club. This first-hand experience of teaching my kids to swim and being involved in a wide range of aquatic disciplines helps me to be a patient teacher. I recently took my involvement with swimming and love for team sports to the next level by founding the water polo club here in Kelowna in September 2020. I am excited to be teaching at WETS and can’t wait to see you at the pool

Jacey Adams

Jacey Adams - Swim Instructor

Hello everyone,  my name is Jacey Adams. I have been teaching swimming lessons for 5 years and before that I found myself babysitting and mentoring kids of all ages. With this experience I have learnt patience and compassion, but I also know when to push kids to do their best! Watching kids become more confident in themselves encourages me to do my best as well, in and outside the pool. When I’m not teaching, I like to be outdoors with my dog Copper, playing card games, or learning something new (right now I’m learning guitar). I am excited to be part of the WETS team and I can’t wait to see you in the water.

Instructor Kallie Wheeler

Kallie Wheeler - WETS Instructor, Parent & Tot Specialist

Hi my name is Kallie! I have 15+ years of swimming teaching experience.
What I love most about teaching swimming is being a part of the each students journey and celebrating their wins, big and small. Whether it be blowing bubbles for the first time or swimming their first length every step is worth celebrating!
I am an extremely patient teacher, I believe that repetition is key to long lasting progress in the water. I also have a calm nature that often puts students at ease. Not only am I a swimming teacher but I’m also a professional photographer and videographer. So I spend a lot of my time with a camera in my hands but I also enjoy a cheeky Netflix binge or spending time with friends.
I look forward to being part of your swimming journey!

Susie Morel - Human Resources

Being around the water, in the water and watching my Mom and the instructors teach swimming has been a part of my whole life. I love to swim and it is even more fun to help the swim students learn to love the water too! I have been a competitive swimmer for 6 seasons since I was 10 years old, and I now am an assistant competitive swim coach. For 2 summers my uncle sent me to Berkley for a competitive swim camp lead by the USA Olympic swim coach, Teri McKeever. It was great! My other interests are soccer, hanging out with my friends, traveling and computer games.
